Congressman Richard Neal visits Starbase

Congressman Richard E. Neal took time out of his busy schedule on Friday, July 13th 2012 to come visit our facilities here in the heart of the Berkshires.

Congressman Neal was first elected to the US House of Representatives in 1988 representing the Second District of Massachusetts - which includes the cities and towns in western and central Massachusetts. Congressman Neal was also the mayor of his hometown, Springfield, from 1984-1989.

Starbase Technologies Inc. is a custom precision manufacturer of molds, tooling and mold bases. These applications range from high-volume consumer disposable molds to large single cavity solid block tools. Starbase Technologies was established in 1988. Currently Starbase employs 50 employees, operating on 2 shifts while running the majority of our equipment 24/7. Presently, Starbase maintains a full design department with a staff of 5 engineers working concurrently with manufacturing on (10) seats of Pro-Engineer (Wildfire 5). Our molding Tech Center is capable of sampling and adjusting, while developing molding processes and assembling entire programs including robots, conveyers, closing mechanisms, etc. This enables our customers to bring on projects faster while being fully debugged and production ready. Our state of the art facility is over 50,000 sq. ft. utilizing some of the most sophisticated equipment in the industry today.

Our Specialty is high volume disposables, utilizing various hot manifolds, multi-material and stack mold designs. The areas we have significant experience in are Cups and Pour Back Spouts for detergent closures, Flip Caps, Jars, Vials, Pen Parts, Aerosol Actuators, Medical Parts, Unscrewing Molds and Long Running Solid Block Molds.
